Rural Neckwarmer

Materials:

Stricken Smitten Sinful Sock (Fingering weight merino/cashmere/nylon)

Alternate: Smitten Shimmer Glimmer (Fingering weight silk/merino)

US 5 / 3.75 mm circular or double-pointed needles

Pattern Notes:

K3tog

Slip one stitch from the left needle to the right needle. Knit the next two stitches together, then slip the first stitch over the worked stitch, similar to casting off.

WYIF

With yarn in front: Bring yarn in front of work as if to purl. Slip the required number of stitches from the left needle to the right needle, then bring the yarn to the back of the work in preparation to knit. Be sure to leave enough yarn fairly loose across the front of the work so that it doesn’t pull.

Cast on 110 and join to work on the round, being careful not to twist. Place a marker to mark the beginning of the round. There should be 110 stitches on the needles at all times.

This is absolutely beautiful. I couldn't see anywhere what quantity of yarn is required though and I'm wondering what ply it is too as I don't think that particular brand is available here in Australia so I'll have to look for an alternative. I used to knit many years ago and I'm just taking it up again. I seem to have forgot nearly everything!

Sorry I didn't see your comment until now.

The yarn is a fingering weight, which I believe is 4-ply. I used between 200 to 230 metres, I believe.

The yarn is hand dyed and available from Etsy, and she will ship internationally if you're interested. Here's the address: http://www.etsy.com/shop/StrickenSmitten
